It's specially well suited e.g. for Ethernet LAN network installations of aparment houses because of the reasonable cable distances and the fact that the copper pair can be shared with POTS/analog phone. Available are 24- and 48-subscriber port DSLAM systems and modems for 1-port Eth and manageable 4-port Eth.
